The difference that strikes you right from the start is that the American Roulette uses a 0 and a double 0, while the European version uses only the simple 0. We offer you the one 0 version, and you should know that this is to your advantage as the house edge is this way reduced even more.
The game consists of placing a bet or more on a number, a group of numbers or a color. There are several betting options to choose from. A ball is spun on a wheel with numbers written in small pockets. Our Roulette wheel has thirty-seven such pockets. These numbers are 0, and numbers from 1 to 36.
Numbers are arranged in a specific order and not in an orderly increasing manner as you might have expected, pairs of odd numbers alternate with pairs of even numbers. Also the color of the numbers oscillates between black and red. Green is also used for the 0 pockets.
You can place your bets on the table in any of the marked areas on the so called table layout.
The Roulette game allows several betting opportunities. If you are lucky enough your combination can be the winning one. Wagers can be placed on several different areas in one game. (You can find all possible wagers listed in the table at the bottom of the page.
The corresponding payouts are also given.)
What plays the most important role to the outcome of this game is the wheel. The wheel and the ball are moved in opposite directions, that is the wheel is spun in one direction while the ball moves around on the edge of the wheel in the opposite direction.
The ball and the wheel are rotated as soon as the bets are placed. Both spin until the ball loses speed and stops in one of the pockets from the wheel. That is the winning number and color of the game. |
